Is Enola PA a good place to live?

Enola PA is a popular location in central Pennsylvania for many reasons one of the biggest is that it is centrally located to other larger areas of interest including Perry County and Harrisburg. Enola is just a five-minute drive from uptown Harrisburg and is only 10 minutes from downtown Harrisburg.

Enola is named after Enola Miller the daughter of the two founders of the area. The Northern Central Railroad put this area on the map when they brought the railroad into the area after purchasing some land from the Millers who named the railroad station after their daughter. A historical landmark that everybody knows about is the Enola Miller house. The house has been relocated to a new area from a spot that will be developed into luxury apartments and a favorite Wawa Station. The railroad station in Enola was the largest of its type in the world until 1956.

Enola is very affordable and offers a dense suburban feel. East Pennsboro Township makes up most of Enola. A little bit of Hampton Township and a small section of Camp Hill and Mechanicsburg are part of Enola. The public schools that serve Enola are all rated above average. Enola is a great centrally located of central PA to consider.
